Dying Sunshine

by The Nameless Poet   Nov 6, 2006

This Is Dedicated to My Sister, and All Those Single Mothers Out There Who Struggle Like She Does...

I remember so many sad situations I wish I could of changed/ The creators of forming tears and sad expressioned faces/ My momma holding my sister as she cried on the couch/ Has one kid already, another on the way with a man who walked out/ She's all on her own, single mother taking care of a child/ Has no job, lives in the gutter with no friends, how could she smile/ I do my best to show her love but that's all I could do/ Hard times keep growing, my sister struggling to get threw/ And my niece, so cute, has to see her mother in so much pain/ Can't even walk yet but still she tries to make her momma smile again/ Please god; help my sister to live a better life without rain/ Send her a blessing besides her kids like maybe a friend/ One to help her and relate with her situation to the end/ Anything to ease the stress and re grow the happiness/ She use to have so much of it but now she doesn't/ Feeling so lost in a world cold as ice/ She's so alone no one should have to pay this price/ Or any other that causes one to contemplate ending their life/ Show my sister some peace and the right path/Erase the madness from the picture shes seeing everyday/ I'm going to keep praying for her and help relieve the stress away/ I'll thank you when she's living a better day/ Until then work on how you're going to make her smile if you're so great/ Sometimes I wonder why your so praised/ and no one in this whole wide world has ever even seen your face/ How could you be the creator if you can't even fix problems that you made/ Which is starving countries, single parents, broken families, children in graves/minds that create what's killing the earth, STD's such as aids/ corrupt people that create a system that keeps us trapped or locked up like we in a cage/ cold hearts, that terrorize there own people as well as others, and start wars, making it harder for workers at minimum wage/ Any ways give me the answer to that, I'll talk to you later God, until next time/ Help the people such as my sister to feel what we call happiness but is becoming more well known everyday as dying sunshine/
