Gardening Time

by Julie Driscoll   Nov 6, 2006

Like a flower wilted by life
Your petals hanging
You head low
Dew dropped from your eyes
I have watched you grow and come to life again
Your illuminating colour radiating once more
Your fragrance enchanting
I have been drawn close by your brilliance
You are a beautiful flower that has blossomed
We have watered and nurtured your needs together
Together we have fed our hunger for one another
I will always remember you my flower
Go on to bloom and thrive
I have helped to plant your roots in solid ground
Shown you that life is worth holding onto,
Grasp it in your tendrils
Hold your head high
But should it drop once more
And should dew begin to fall
Think of me, your gardener, and what we once had
For I am always thinking of you
And a smile upon my heart will bloom
In remembrance of you.....my flower
