What I've Become

I fell in love
When our eyes met
At that moment
Our destiny was set

You showed your scars
I washed them away
And I carried you
To a safer place

Everything was fine
When you said it wasn't time
So I pour all my pain
Into verses that rhyme

But I never gave up
Each letter I sent
Was full with words of love
And each word I meant

I receive no replies
When I need them most
I've become a specter
As loved as ghost

    Wow...I liked the last paragraph the best !! Since you just aren't writing new poems :) I'm reading all your previous ones...:) They just amaze me one by one :) hehe...But I'll keep waiting for you to write a new one. GOSHH write!! :( Ok...no pressure :) Nice poem. I liked the wording and the last stanza really spoke to me..
