Mastermind

by Tom   Nov 8, 2006

I've made plan A through Z,
Pulling aces out of both of my sleeves.
I never had to settle for second best,
Scheming is more important than my next breath.
There's no such thing as a marginal victory,
Being #1 just isn't good enough for me.
Your polished blueprint is my rough draft,
Go back home and start from scratch.
Take a gamble and load your dice,
I'll adjust your odds so you roll snake eyes.
Your position will always be at square one,
Which direction will I be coming from?
I march to the beat of my own drum,
Your accomplishment are nothing but a handful of crumbs.
A mindset like this cannot be overcomed.
An enemy is someone you should never underestimate,
Anything less is an example of a rookie's mistake,
My finger's on the trigger, my mind's on the pulse,
Execute the plot and bask in my results.
Eventually, you'll be begging to wave your white flag,
Sifting through the ashes without your pride intact.
Who are you gonna blame now? Keep passing the buck,
I followed the plan to the T; there's no such thing as luck,
I put my trust in ability, you build it on hype,
When the dust settles I've earned my stripes.
Look at my face, I can't stop smilin',
Pick your tune and play your violin.
