Hopeful Light

by XSugarSexSuicideX   Nov 8, 2006

The sun shines brightly,
Illuminates the room,
Vanishing the darkness,
Dispelling all the gloom,
Today, of all days,
I woke up witha sigh,
Before I saw the sun,
All I wanted was to cry,
A day of happiness,
For someone who is dead,
A day of hopefulness,
For a friend in a hospital bed,
But looking at the sun
And seeing all the light,
Made my sad thoughts disappear,
And let my view be bright,
How does the sun do this to me?
How can hope dispell my fear?
I know, in my heart,
That my friends are held so dear,
So as the sun shines brightly
We all think of him and her,
I think my thoughts so happy,
And rejoice that we're together,
In spirit and in soul.

*This was written on 11/8/2006, in honor of one of my very best friends, who is, as I type this, undergoing heart surgery, and in honor of another friend of mine, who commited suicide two weeks ago...*

Very nice Rikki. Very sweet and I'm sure Noey would love it.
