I was to go to the dance,
Be the center of attention,
And to win the boy I love over,
But did that happen?

At the end of the dance,

My heart skips beats,

But half way near me,
You stop and ask another girl,
My jaw drops,

And the whole world goes quiet,
My eyes water,
And I run,

And don't look back,

How could you?
