Come and get it

by Amy Jo   Nov 12, 2006

Waiting alone out here for you
while the rain pours down my back
I really have nothing better to do,
in self-confidence I solely lack.
Everybody's watching you now.
As you look at me through the window.
what are you going to do now?
As I stand here, you really don't know.
There's tension in the air.
So much space yet none at all
To walk towards me, come on take a dare.
My heart starts to fall.
I told you I forgive you now,
Where do you think you're going
To walk away I don't know how,
In all honesty I don't know what I'm doing.
Come with me and take a chance
This is your last moment to have me
Do you want our typical romance?
Boy, open your eyes and see
The crowd wants to know more
Like what's your next move
You come to the front door
You've got too much to prove!
The rain isn't stopping
My heart is racing through my ears
And my ears are popping
Here I am releasing my fears..
To the point where I don't care what you do
Even if it means me and you are through
I'm smiling as the rain pours and pours
You come busting through the doors,
in your arms I'm free at last
Waking up from our unforgettable past.
