Unrestrained

Dear God, please help me
for today I feel so weak.
I cannot seem to stop the tears
from flowing down my cheeks.

You know what truly hurts me
and so for guidance today I pray.
Please also strengthen the hearts of my friends
whose lives are torn apart this day.

My friends are very dear to me
and I ache when I see their pain.
Their hurts are like an arrow to my heart,
and so my tears flow unrestrained.
