From Light to Dark

You were always the first person i would see in the mornings
I would wake up to u saying,
"Wake up beautiful, Wake up"
I would open my eyes and see yours

All my life i never saw you sick
Only once and it was just the flu
Then in the mere three days
Cancer flew through your body and
ended the days of your life
I stand there crying while looking at the image that is now stuck in my head

The day of your viewing
I stand there next to your body crying
Now i'm the one telling you to,
"Wake up Grandpa, Wake up."
Even when i scream at you to wake up, you won't do it
I did it for you, why wont you do it for me??????

Now that your funeral has pasted
i walk around all day thinking
of all the things your going to miss,
My Sweet 16, High school graduation, The day i get married,
or when i become a parent as great as you were

But after all that, what hurts the most is the fact that i will never see you again.
