Best Friends .

A simple glance,
That turns into a stare.
It's funny how we used to be,
All the fights and the glares.

And yet we still find it in us,
To start to hang out.
Sharing with each other, secrets,
And those we wanna ask out.

With so many laughs and smiles,
Only we know it's fake.
We know each other's limits,
And how much pain we can take.

But when with each other,
The smiles and laughs are real.
And talking to you today,
I started to realize how I feel.

I denied it at first,
Told myself I didn't in my mind.
Thought, 'Dear heart, please don't,
If you would be so kind.'

But I guess it isn't that easy,
When it's he who makes you smile.
The person that cares about you,
And makes life worthwhile.

You promised not to make me cry,
But I guess you did so now.
You just don't know it yet,
And I gotta deal with it somehow.

But how can I deny it,
When you make my heart beat so fast?
Sorta makes me wonder,
What kind of spell did you cast?

And you know it kind of seems like,
Unrequited love is the new trend.
So I guess I'll say it loud now:
I'm in love with my best friend.
