Goodbye

by Tamara   Nov 15, 2006

Goodbyes
Filled with silent sighs
Bidding sad delight

I hope these cries
That fill my eyes
Help me through the night

Jealousy
Plays a melody
Like a sweet lullaby

Coming over me
Controlling me
Parting like butterflies

Temptation lacks
To pull you back
Your moving to better things

Your passionate face
And velvet lips
Brings back the need to cling

Looking outside
Twords the sky
A gray so full of hate

This feeling of
Overcoming love
Is one I can't escape

Memories
Blow like trees
Heavy in my mind

Diluted sent
Of the days we spent
Zoom me back in time

Commutes sweetness
Broken pieces
This is not a lie

All these words
Have to be heard
A bittersweet goodbye

This is a unique and meaningful piece. The flow and rhyme scheme is great though inconsistent, but the final line says ut all.Very sad and touching.
