When Death Comes Knocking

When Death Comes Knocking
By: Twisted Heart

You'll hear him first, inside your mind
And then you'll feel the shiver
A coldness captured you in time
A steady thump delivered.

Inside your heart, he'll make his way
With greedy hands of pain
Reaching in the depths today
Bringing forth the rain.

Nowhere to run, he'll draw you down
With icy voice, he'll call
Trying to ignore the sound
But you begin to fall

Into the darkness, you will slide
No room for your sanity
There isn't any place to hide
From him, you can not flee.

He will find you, your soul to keep
No ransom, can you pay
When death comes knocking at your door
He'll take your breath away.

A breathtaking poem that seems fit for an anthology. Hope you will get this one published someday. Incredible.
