A Tragedy

by Dana   Nov 15, 2006

Never was she good enough for her parents
never were they proud of what she did
never did they know how much it hurt her
never did they know what she hid

her parents drove her to the edge
what she was about to do was painful
but she didn't want to live anymore
her parents were just too hateful

her mom was always too busy
she was smoking and doing drugs
and her dad was always drunk
she never got kisses or hugs

taped to the mirror attached to the dresser
was this poor girl's goodbye letter

the one she wrote just before she died
at her funeral, her parents never cried

the tragic thing about this story I just told
is that this poor girl was only 7 years old
