Sanity Comes In A Bottle Of Pills

by Jenn   Nov 17, 2006

They shoved them down her throat
Until her head became a big pink pill
She smiled and waved
At all the 'pretty' faces
And everyone knew she was okay
But this life grew into an obsession
That the doctors had instilled in her brain
Every swallow killed a nightmare
Every bottle another blade
This miracle took the pain away
She loved these pills more every day
Two, four, six, eight
"This one's for you" she said at last
They found her laying on the floor
Her heart slowing to a stop
"Is this what sanity feels like?"
