You think life is good and dandy,
Well I had a friend's whose daddy,
Beat her every time he got mad,
Do you think she was sad?

Oh, no she wasn't. Not at all,
because every time her dad made her fall,
She thought 'Oh, he loves me, he loves me so,
It is just his was that he shows.'

What she did not know,
Was that he dad hated her so,
