Bad Memory

by MidniteRain   Nov 19, 2006

I told you that I'd make it through
But maybe it will be easier
If I live my life without you
Feeling like a blemish on your past
A mistake you wish you never had
Just another part of that world
That caused you so much pain
You hope that this will save you
From being hurt again
I remind you of everything
That went wrong in your life
Because I am his daughter
And you were his wife
I won't abandon you
Like you have me
I won't treat you
Like some bad memory
Empty promises
You know you wouldn't keep
Only saying them to get
What you think you need
