Defeated life

You know your life is over
you know the end is near
when all you hear is slow sobs of your bestfriends tears
you never saw it coming
you saw it all so fast
you never saw it coming
till you could only see your past
you know you should not have done it
but it seemed to be the only way
to end the pain and sorrow
of the things we face today
when everything is said and done
when all is gone and lost
they will look back to this day
and wonder what was worth the cost
to lose a life so dear
and a dear friend so sweet
if only they would take the time to hear a friends defeat
