Will she?

by anna   Nov 20, 2006

She chooses the one labelled with a blue C
Turing allows the water to flow
She doesnt deserve warmth she muses as she immerses herself
The cold numbing her pain as well as her body
Lying on the bottom she can hear the water
As it devours her ears she relaxes to the sound, her eyes close

Blood, Pain and Violence bring her back to her body
A flashback she would rather drown
Feeling the water creep over her mouth, she smiles
How many times has her mouth been covered? Her screams muffled?
Will this be the last?
She screams but all can be heard is a strangled gargle
No one to the rescue... there has never been anyone
She wonders where her angel was that day... the day when...

She tilts back her head and now she is blind... her eyes taken by the water
Though really she has been this way her entire life
Stumbling blindly in the dark
With her eyes gone it only leaves her nose, her last link to life
She breathes in deeply, filling her lungs with oxygen until they feel like they might burst
Slowly the water covers her... a cold protecting cell
She is numb.. the pain feels distant almost from another life
She wants to stay like this

She can hear the little voice in her head whispering breathe
She can hear her lungs screaming for air
She can hear heart beating faster in her ears
But still she stays submerged...
Will she ever breathe again?????
