The one I use to Know

by Bethany   Nov 21, 2006

So theres this kid that I once knew.
He meant everything, but he was just like me and you.
We were young, so of course nothing happened at all.
But once I was away, I started to fall.
I realized, that there was no one even close.
To the one person, that I use to know.

He was the kind of guy, who could put a smile on your face.
He's thats kind of guy, who brings light to your grayest days.
No matter who he's talking to, he will always make them laugh.
No matter how hard you try, you just can't get them mad.
I remember him perfectly, like it wasn't that long ago.
Let me finish the story, about the one I use to know.

I moved across the country and ended up leaving him behind.
Now when I think back at him, I can't help but cry.
I look through my old yearbooks, trying to think of what he looks like now.
But its been years, so I don't know how.
Tears all from my eyes, I can't believe I actually lets go.
Of that one guy, that I use to know.

I blame myself, knowing that he probably doesn't even remember me.
Every last memory, for him is history!
Looking through those same yearbooks, her probably looks right pass me.
And goes straight to the girl who was always one better then me.
I was just that girl, I never seemed to show.
So theres the simple story about the one I use to know.
