Now Gone

by Christie   Nov 22, 2006

Corners stab as quickly as knives,
Innocence lost in heart felt smiles,
Deemed the fault and hence the crack,
Happiness lost in all that lacked.

Within oneself, no strength to try,
Too hard to think, let life go by,
Endings near but yet to start,
It's just the thought of us apart.

Corners, memories, it's lost to past,
I really tried hard for it to last,
Sorry's opaque, but not unsaid,
But what your asking is to forget.

Tried once, tried twice, but now I've learned,
Though love's now gone, it was once earned.

Aww it's adorable. I apologise yet again for the delay in the commenting of the poem. I got behind in my schedule with school studies and such that I didn't have much time for the computer.

But back to the poem. This poem was truly straight from the heart. It's wonderful. I loved it. It was adorable, yet depressing at the same time. I loved the flow to it. It was perfect, and didn't seem forced at all.

The vocabulary was astounding. I didn't even believe some of the words could actually fit into a poem whilst still being half decent. =P

The imagery was fantastic. I could really imagine what you were trying to paint in our heads. The word choice really helped along with the vocab a lot. It gave you a certain depth to the poem that very rarely comes along with good flow. =) Well done. xoxox
