There's Beauty in the Breakdown

by Jamin Huchingson   Nov 23, 2006

There's beauty in the breakdown
When a heart has been on fire for so long
And everything goes wrong
When the heart begins to meltdown
There's beauty in the breakdown

Although I'm alone, my soul has grown
Like the leaves that fall from their tree
And flee when the wind is blown
Scattered along the ground
There's beauty in the breakdown

When a smile turns to a frown
She left with him and nobody's around
Like a king who's gone uncrowned
There's beauty in the breakdown

Those lonely nights with no sleep in sight
Because I fear the nightmares that I fight
Never seeing that this was all just a Shakedown
There's beauty in the breakdown

And what I've found
Is my inner self that never was around
My feet still touch the ground
There's beauty in the breakdown

The freedom you gave has me unbound
Though I miss the chemistry in our compound
There's always beauty in the breakdown
