How it Should Be

by Saved By Grace   Mar 22, 2004

Like the flowers bloom in Spring, our love did too. The brightness and warmth, it was all nice and new. Then Summer came along, and our love got even hotter. We did some bad things, stuff you don't tell your mother. Then fall came along, leaves fell in the lakes. I fell in love with you, but just like the seasons, feelings change too. The fights got more frequent, about the stupidist things. And then our love began to bend. You got mad if I went over to a friend's house, we even fought when I was out of town. We'd always make up, sometimes that being s-e-x. But the last time was too much, I had to get myself out of that mess. We made love the night before, everything was right. I was at her house the next day, and for that you had to cause a fight. I regret not talking it out, because we could've made things okay. But I suppose it all worked out for the better. We're over, and that's the way it will stay.
