To live without love

To live without love ,
is something I have choosen to do.
My heart can never again be broken ,
that for certain is true.
Love only hurts too much ,
and causes so much pain.
To live without it ,
that pain can never be felt again.
Real love only happens once ,
if the feelings not shared its a shame.
A sense of security is just as important ,
even if I did love it would never again be the same.
I wouldn't want to love that way again ,
without love lifes not so bad.
I feel secure and someone loves me ,
yes at times I do feel sad.
I have found another kind of love in life ,
one of a completely different kind.
It's the love i have for my kids ,
and they give me peace of mind.
