Desolate awakening

by Tessa   Nov 24, 2006

A desolate awakening
A sad goodbye
Something emerging
Through the Grey sky
I awake to find myself cold
My body is filled with fear
I'm only 12 years old
I want to live another year
I gave you a reason
I gave you my life
So why are we here
On this starry night
Years ago
what you meant to me
Will never really change
Years ago
What you gave to me
Will wash away with the pain
You lied to me
You tricked me
Again and again
Your sins are always forgiven
Washed away with the rain
