Control (poem)

Control
© Kaitlyn Flynn

I can't control very much,
Actually, not much at all.
The b****es at school,
Just wind me up and watch me fall.

I can't control very much,
Like friends drifting away.
John and Meg,
I really wanted them to stay.

I can't control very much,
With family problems here and there.
Dreamer gone, parents divorcing.
This is the kind of pain I cannot share.

I can't control very much,
Imperfections inside and out.
Pressure and grades.
What's this all about?

I can't control very much,
Like my feelings for him.
He understands me completely.
Puts the sparkle in my eyes that seem permanently dimmed.

You thought I was serious?
Wow! ... get real.
I can do anything I want.
Hope is not surreal.

They wouldn't let me enter the poem without bleeping out something, which I think you can get!! Anywayz, I wrote this one when things just got to be too much. Towards the end of it I realized that things are not as bad as they seem. I inspired myself!! Weird, huh? If you like it comment! I'll have a lot more stuff up soon, as most is closed to being done.
