A lively Poem

by James   Nov 27, 2006

I quietly beseech you now
To hear a four verse tale--
That life has its woes and stories
Deep and dark like shale

It seems to many that if we die
And we turn to dust
That possessions need be distributed
As an almighty must

But how life doesn't care
About your height in life
For life tells its counterpart
When its time to end your strife

The living take most for granted
Wanting is all they want
But when the shadow shuts the door
How will their items taunt.
