Winter

by sasha   Dec 3, 2006

As the sun went down and the owl cooed
a gloomy mist, dampened the mood
the wind howled and the air chilled
as the heat of summer was finally killed
the birds took flight, to hotter sand

the days became shorter, and nights became long
and the slow winter weather killed the blue birds song
people getting festive, decorating their tree
and children ran around shouting for the raindeer to bring he
as the shops all stocked up, with toys and treats
the first snow of christmas fell whilst people sleep
