Night's Heart

by Chong   Dec 3, 2006

As the darkness falls
The moon shines high
I struggle to stand.
On one knee
My vision blurred from pain
I see a shadow
Through my eyes
As I lean on my blade
Which glistens in the moonlight.
Nothing moves
Not even the air
At this rate I'll suffocate.
I try again
To stand
To fight
But nothing.
My muscles give way
As gravity pulls me down.
Into my body the blade cuts
Blood spews everywhere.
My life is finally done.
I am finally dieing.
But wait.
What's that?
My chest hurts?
No!
My heart burns.
My body finally gives way to my hearts feel.
My body throbs
But I now feel only one thing
The tearing in my heart
Like knives to an open wound.
I try hard to hold that spot
To reduce the pain
The spot where it hurts the most
But I couldn't reach it.
Something held me back.
Tears stream down my eyes
As the pain grows more and more.
My heart throbs with pain,
Te pain of life
And the guilt of love.
Then I hear a muffled thud
As if someone smashes into a large tree.
I fell my body shake slightly
And I was out
Like a blown out candle fire.
