Hypocrisy

Its easy to feel rage
but its complex to feel Love

its why we give hugs
but still push and shove

why we like to see crows
but still like to see doves

we are puppets on strings
nothing more, nothing less

we follow what we are told
either clean, or a mess

we say one thing
and yet we do the other

we have enemies and hatred
yet we all want Lovers

we fight and fight
among sisters and brothers

we act like we are tough
and still we hide under the covers

we all act dependent
but are still dependent on others

we want our own choices
but we try to leave it all to fate

how could we want unity
yet we divorce our soul mate

everyone wants something
but no one wants to share

we all have wants and needs
but no one else seems to care

we look to each other
for help and support

yet we get mad over nothing
and end up taking it to court

the people pay lawyers
and lawyers answer to the judge

we want to all get along
but everyone holds a grudge

people try to stop it
but it still continues on

it will always be this way
even after we are gone

North America, South America, Asia
Russia, Australia, Antarctica

no one allows religion in the class
yet we learn of religions from Sparta

Myths of Gods and hero's
who once lived among men

but no one believes in that really
not how they did then

now, no one knows where Hero's are
what they do, or where they've been

its turned this way and that
saying its honest, but its really a lie

Everyone wants to go to Heaven
but no one wants to die

Not one person is free from this
they are guilty just as the next

how they can cherish these words
and yet hate the text

confusing each other
everyone is lost

we take what is not ours
no matter the cost

but when something is taken from us
we are upset and mad

we fight for what we want
and if we don't get it we get sad

forgetting what we need
always wanting what we never had

thinking it could always be ours
and stealing isn't that bad?

taking it by any circumstance
disobeying our mom or our dad

we do what we want
yet we want nothing to do

saying we will work out
knowing that its not true

we make promises we cant keep
yet people are mad when they break promises to

everyone wants to follow their heart
yet they think with their mind

thinking love is in looks
and its nothing they find

it goes on and on, with no end
contradictory with no bounds

we give licenses to hold guns
and act surprised when we hear rounds

its all over this world
every single day

but the only difference
is we each take it in our own way

look at the glass half empty
or look at it half full

trying to grab life by the horns
or thinking life is not a bull

its another weapon,
that kills us all

curious why we get knocked down
but we push others so they fall

we just live life the way it is
easy hard or worse

but now you must go back
and remember my first verse

its easy to feel hate
but its complex to feel Love

people say there is no God
and yet curse God above

acting like a religious person
yet taking the Lords name in vain

all of this sounds crazy
but really its not insane

how we want to keep peace
by causing more pain

making weapons,
so one country can be strong

even though we preserve life
destroying other countries isn't wrong?

all of this is real,
its all of our own mentality

we can deny it or accept it
but either way its all reality
