Shooting Star

by Behind Blue Eyes   Dec 5, 2006

(a metaphor about guys..mostly about the ones i end up encountering)

I looked to the sky, as I do every night.
To my surprise, there was something new shining bright.
Now, this star seemed different in a way I couldn't say.
Like it wanted to stay, but was being called away.
As I watched it in the sky, the star touched my soul.
For once in my life I felt as if I were whole.
The longer I stared, the stronger the feelings got.
And thats when the star fell from its spot.
Shooting across the sky, away it went.
I wished for it to stay, but it didn't.
As soon as it left my view,
I couldn't deny it, for I knew it was true.
No shooting star is different, they're all the same.
They'll leave your life just as fast as they came.

Wow that is very true. Too bad shooting stars don't come back.
