An Eye For An Eye

by Kelly   Dec 5, 2006

Everyone should have one,
and i thought i did.
Someone who was your friend,
the best there ever is.

She was always there,
with me through thick and thin.
She laughed when i was happy,
and cried with me when i was down.

I truly felt like i had a charmed life,
not only did i have a best friend.
I found a wonderful man,
i knew i wanted to be his wife.

He was such a gentle man,
and soothed my fears away.
Made me feel like the prettiest girl alive,
till something changed that dreadful day.

He always seemed to be working late,
my friend told me i had nothing to fear.
She said that David loved me,
but all i could respond with was a tear.

Another night and he was absent again,
i put on my coat and went out the door.
To my friend i knew i could depend,
and as i drove up to her house a familiar car was in the drive.

With the dread beginning to build in me,
i exited the car and stormed inside.
There was no one in the live-room,
or in the kitchen, it seemed as empty as can be.

Then i heard the noise from upstairs,
and fresh anger washed over me.
I stormed up the stairs took them two at a time,
built myself up to prepare for what i may see.

I couldn\\\'t believe it when i opened that door,
i knew it deep down but refused to believe.
But there they both were staring at me,
a look of shock and fear as they knew what i could see.

Both of them together in the same bed,
i can not understand all i see is red.
I drag that b!-TCH out of the f@-****g bed,
drag her down the stairs by the hair on her head.

Found what I\'m looking for in her kitchen drawer,
it shiny and silver guaranteed to cause pain to the w***e.
One scar down her face, yes that suits her just nice,
plunge it into her heart, go to hell and pay the price.

I go back up the stair to find him in a state,
trousers half on and his face full of fright.
He can see im beyond all reason and logic,
as he receives the same treatment, a fatal cut from the knife.

The deed has been done and justice is served,
now i sit here in prison and think of the life i once led.
Yes on the past i do still dwell,
But i have no regrets.
I live by a simple motto,
for what they did to me.

AN EYE FOR AN EYE - THE FIEND MUST DIE!

Very well written and truly captures the emotions that one feels when they find out that their significant other has cheated!

what i enjoyed the most was how you made the part where you got most angry rhyme. that truly helped to bring out your emotions.

    keep up the good work!
