Tragic Choices

by Dacey Flame   Dec 5, 2006

Now, now, think it through,
Don't you see the black and blue?
Silly girls with crazy dreams,
The poor sadistic little teens.

This One doesn't like to eat,
Emaciating in her seat.
The mirrors toying with her heart,
Guilt hits her like the sharpest dart.

Another's given us a fright,
She Cries herself to sleep each night.
The deepest slits are in her wrists,
She doesn't believe she will be missed.

Shallower cuts mark the Third,
Expressing herself without a word.
Blood red lines run down her arm,
The difference between fix and harm.

Girl Four smokes half a pack a day,
They seem to take her stress away.
Each one takes minutes off her life,
She can't hold up in all the strife.

You never know how you'll find Six,
Drugs are how she gets her kicks.
Never can tell quite what shes on,
Off the walls from dusk to dawn.

Five's hobbies include throwing up,
She eats and eats but it just won't stop.
Never full, it's always there,
Nobody around to hold back her hair.

The stove is on, and Seven's ready,
Lovely flames look like confetti.
One finger in, then two, the rest,
Theres no hurt, 'cuz she's the best.

Eight just wants them to approve,
As she thinks up her next move.
She'd do anything off them to see,
Shes everything they want her to be.

Just look around; there everywhere,
Pretty girls crying out in despair.
Open your eyes, and count to ten,
Take a deep breath, then try looking again.
