A year has passed
Since that fateful day
A year of mistakes and regrets
Weighing on my soul

Women come and go
None can compare
To the innocence of
my true love gone

my heart is broken
I will recover
But the scars and tears
A permanent reminder

Staring at the stars
Wondering if she is too
Does she think of me
