Summertime Fun

by Momentary Relapse   Dec 7, 2006

I remember the ripe strawberries
And the crisp watermelon
Those rubies so fresh
And that taste so sweet
It was a bursting balloon
Filled with candied goods
That covered my mouth
The juices ran like a stream
Down from my face
Onto my chin
Where it became gluey strings
The explosion of cannons
Lit up the night sky
With dazzling light of a dragon
Causing me to stare dumbly
Before night sang a lullaby
