The Greatest Adventure of All

by Kalgalath   Dec 8, 2006

A great battle has taken place
The battle of the age
Many were slain
Their bodies piled high
Bodies so mangled, no one can discern who is whom
There is a warrior with mortal wounds, lying in blood
Whether it be his blood, or the enemy's: no one knows
Crouching next to him is his wife, weeping
He looks at her, then into the sky
And says "And now, for the greatest adventure of all..."
He then closes his eyes, and meets with the kiss of death

The way that you told what happened after the battle was beautiful. There was a wonderful flow to it. Keep up the good work. *5/5*
