It hurts on the Inside

Upon the outside
normality shows
nothing more than a girl
holding her anger inside
locked and trapped
wanting desperately to escape

small tight cuts
sear across the veins in her wrist
under long sleeves
causing constant irritation

cringing and crying
cant stand it anymore
breaking free and tearing apart
slashing violently
bleeding profusely
crying on the inside

going on with life
like it never happened
faking a smile
it isn't real, nothing is
she wishes it was
so the urge would leave her
forever
