Her self sorrow

by Nikki   Dec 8, 2006

The clock keeps ticking slowly by
As she drifts in and out of sleep
Shes been this way for a year
Shes fallen into the deep

She surrounds herself in darkness
Keeping curtains tightly drawn
Visions flood back, of the attack
Brains are no match for brawn

Her eyes once sea blue and glistening
Are now nothing more than vacant
You see her fears in all her tears
You cant replace what was taken

Her friends began to leave her
As they cant be assed anymore
She saw this day, she drove them away
Slamming the metaphorical door

They say bridges can be mended
And forgiveness comes with time
But pain she felt, from words they dealt
Wont heal with the "im sorry" line

The world believes shes selfish
For sitting in self sorrow
Maybe in time, she will be fine
Until then she must get through tomorrow
