And The Colors Blend

by [[Get Ya Wicked On]]   Dec 9, 2006

Panic stricken all month long
Wondering just where I went wrong
Thinking back to find a reason of why I can't be strong
Nothing comes to mind so I remain the same
Continuing with this mask to shield this pain
Never had it crossed my mind losing you was the cause of it all
Never thought a lost friendship was the push to my every fall
But your smile it kills me, because I can only see it in your photograph
And those frozen frames don't give the full ecstasy of your laugh
So I sit and I pray that someday I'll see your face again
Because I know it's not completely hopeless for us to stay friends
Maybe we won't be together until the end like we planned
But at least have a letter for each other always on send

Did you even notice our slipping apart?
What would you do if you found out you've broken my heart?
Would you beg to rewind and just restart?
Or figure it's too late to repaint the art?
Because once a friendship art has been destroyed or torn
The colors blend into one bleak black portrait said to be forlorn
And only one of the pair will feel this pain
And the same one will be the only one to not be able to heal
I don't know about you but I won't know how to deal
Losing you will be the end of me but I'm not ready to give up just yet
I'm going to keep trying to mend this friendship and you can bet
I will not lose you until time stands still
And even then our friendship won't have its fill
