WalkThe Streets

by Jacquie   Dec 9, 2006

Walk the streets.
Wear the darkness
Like a winter cloak
To hide the death of innocence
Plaster on your smile
To hide the tears
You\'re a fake.
Drink from the fountain of youth
To rewind the clock
Whisper, elegantly,
The words you left unsaid
Bear your teeth, little one
For they know your words are delusive
Don\'t you love them?
Then speak honestly
And stare them in the eye
And share with them your winter cloak
It\'s cold out on the streets.
