Love is a fragile thing

I really want to be with you,
But, theres things you don't understand.
Like the beating of my heart,
That sits in the palm of your hand.

I miss the way you said you loved me,
And showed me that you cared.
I miss the way you told me,
That life isn't always fair.

You mean the world to me,
And I love you with all my heart,
I hate that you couldn't see,
That you and I were falling apart.

I didn't want to lose you,
And everything you were.
But, love is a fragile thing,
And you fell in love with her.

She holds your heart in the palm of her hand,
And it's breaking mine into.
Can't you see,
That I just want to be with you?
