The Dawning of that Day

by Tess Beautifully Broken   Dec 9, 2006

He was my breath,
The breath he took away,
He was all mine,
Until the dawning of that day.

The tears that leave my eyes,
Burn my tender skin,
My heart is torn to pieces,
How dare he commit this sin.

He stares at me with vancant eyes,
Eyes that used to shine,
He walks to me in zig zags,
When he used to walk in a striaght line.

I see the empty bottle,
Shattered to pieces on the ground,
These pieces are like my heart,
Cept mine are nowhere to be found.

Now hes long gone,
His memory starting to fade,
I wont let myself be like him,
Nor will I lay where he once laid.

I no longer love him,
That feeling went away,
I thought I'd always love him,
Till that dawning of that day.
