An Act for All

An Act for all

Life is a stage, as most of us know,
Here we stand taking blow after blow, taking all they can give
Just for the show.

You acted your part and Kudos to you,
But your act is up and you have no clue.

Although I knew the time would come,
I never guessed you'd best,
To destroy me as you deny.

I knew you were dark, I knew you were sad, I knew that you always missed being mad.
I listened to your rants and raves, your cries and pleas,
I never took a fee. All I asked was for you to love me

And you did.

I thank you for your time spent, the love you sent, and your consent.
I'm not gonna to lie, I'm not gonna to hate you.
But I can't just be true to you either.

That foolish vow means nothing more for the one that's its intended for.
He's gone, he's left, he is dead in his grave.

These roses are for you
For what I don't know.
For the tears we shared

Take your bow, times almost up.

Although, in this show there are leads to be filled,
The roles that was meant to be shrill has now thrilled,
But the curtain is closing your times almost gone,
And now for the chorus of this tell-tale song,
THE SHOW MUST GO ON!
