I held her close

by Escoffier   Dec 11, 2006

I held her close
I felt her heart pound though her skin
She smell of a lemon tree
Her eyes reminded me of something more beautiful to see
Her hair like satin underneath her loving face
See her smiled at me
Calm me completely
Her hand touched my face
I loved her so
I gave her everything I had and even more
God I love her so

I lost her someone don't know when
But the day she told me was like a knife in my soul
She was all to me
Everything you see
My family of five, her and our three kittens and me
First for me
Never had so much love in my soul
Then it was all gone
And now I am lost in my thoughtless mind
No start no finish
Just the knowledge that I am now a lost cause
