Ribbons...

by Jenn   Dec 11, 2006

She was born with a ribbon
Tied around her wrist
It was thin and shiny
And it held her together

Then as she got bigger
The ribbon grew tighter
It snapped in half
And it tore her to pieces

A rope is much too
Rough for soft hands;
Ribbons are pretty
But they can't hold our weight
