You Said

by Heidi Harover   Dec 14, 2006

You said that you wouldn't hurt me,
That I would be happy,
That our relationship wouldn't be crappy.

I had always wanted you,
I went through so much,
Just to feel your loving touch.

You said that you were glad to be with me,
That I was so sweet,
Then you thought I started to cheat.

I was so hurt when you said that,
I wanted your trust,
Trying to get over it, my feelings turned to lust.

You said that you "don't know" about being with me anymore,
That you don't get to talk to me enough,
And all that other dumb stuff.

I hope you know you just lied to me,
You said you would never hurt me,
Well what hurts most is that you can't trust me.

You said that would never happen,
I said I wouldn't give you a reason to,
Now my broken heart is almost dead,
All because you lied to me with everything you said.

I know what you went through. But from a guy's perspective and being the one that she thought was cheating. Good job
