Despite the Flaws

by .K.i.T.t.Y.   Dec 15, 2006

Why is it that love is said to be blind,
When you need two eyes and one heart.

When you catch a glimpse of truth,
Behind their hard outershell,
You learn who they are;
With the perfections,
And imperfections.

Isn't that why you love them,
Because you see something about them,
That others miss.

You give them an opportunity,
And you begin to fall for what they are to you,
Not what others say about them.

For some reason,
To you they are perfect,
Despite every flaw you find,
They are meant for you,
And you to them.
