The Last Word

by Chloe   Dec 15, 2006

And when I draw back and take my final breath,
I'll smile with acceptance, that now its time to rest.
The memories i've shared, the thoughts from my head,
Now its all open for long after my death.
As I remember each moment, each word leaving my pen,
I take a second to reminisce of my life back then.
I understand my suffering was all for a reason,
The strongest emotions I portrayed were the reason I was breathing.
Now my time has reached its end,
The words in my mind will no longer leave this pen,
My heart still remains with the writing on a page,
When my life reaches its end, the words will stay.
So here I am, at the final step,
The last thing to say is; I have no regrets.
Now I can move on, turn the last page,
It took my whole life to make me see this way.

WOW is all i can say, what an amazing poem. It's true I think everyone should be able to look back on their life && have no regrets, each mistake of each day makes you who you are in the end. Thanx for the comment = ]
