Daddy's Little Girl

by Chloe   Dec 17, 2006

Pausing to walk out the door,
The little girl screams his name, but he cant take it anymore,
Too many lies, this broken home aint worth it anymore.
"Daddy, Daddy, dont leave, Mummys just saying things she dont mean".
But that dont change his mind, he's given everything and its still going unseen.

That night, the girl cries herself to sleep,
Mothers taking drugs in the kitchen,
Her brothers gone missing,
Burying her head in the pillow, she wonders where it all went wrong,
Only 10 years old, why did life have to go wrong?
"Daddy, Daddy, dont leave, Mummys just saying things she dont mean".
But that dont change his mind, he's given everything and its still going unseen.

School the next day, the girl feels she cant go on,
Parents evening coming up, but her parents wont be there,
Coz one of them has gone.
Teachers asking questions, seeing the tears in the corner of her eyes,
But the girl dont wanna talk about it,
How when her Daddy said 'I Love You', it was all lies.
"Daddy, Daddy, dont leave, Mummys just saying things she dont mean".
But that dont change his mind, he's given everything and its still going unseen.

Another night coming home from school,
Calling out for her mother, with no reply,
Checking in the bathroom, tears rush to her eyes,
Cuts on her wrists, I guess her daughter wasn't worth it,
Another child having to spend their childhood living in social services.
And to think it all started with one step out the door,
Her Daddy didn't listen, his daughter, he chose to ignore,
"Daddy, Daddy, dont leave, Mummys just saying things she dont mean".
But that dont change his mind, guess he didn't realise, it wouldn't only be his life that died.
