Speed

by Shoooleeee   Dec 17, 2006

The bright headlights
Cutting out a swath of darkness
A moment of velocity at night
Splattered blood, unconsciousness

Spams of shivers
The subtle scene
Those unflinching eyes
Sheer terror of a teen

Unlocking the door
Accusing eyes, bated breath
A victim on the floor
Lungs filled with frigid air

Quivering hands
Toward the stillness
The air cold and tense
Fear and unwillingness

Bending down, low
The distorted statue lies
Pale fingers under his nose
The heart cries

Shrinking back in horror
Out loud, the truth was clear
Recoiling, eyes widened
Turned back,disappeared

The broken body on the concrete
Shadowed by dusk
Cheated by dishonesty,deceit
Justice shall be done
