Oh, how quickly love can turn to hate.
How fast what we had can go away.
How long have you felt this way.
How many times did you think about telling me.

I lay here thinking, dreaming, and hoping.
Upon everything that went away.
That maybe one day...just one day.
You'll remember me.

From day to day I pray.
But like most, I pray for an unrealistic reality.
A chance to erase the past and live in the future.
For maybe one day...You'll remember me.

In our days I've made mistakes.
I've done things that can't be undone.
I've said things that can't be unspoken.
But for all that I believe in, one day...You'll remember me.

In the past I never thought this could be.
That I would find you and you would find me.
But most of all I never thought things would turn out this way.
But please Holly, promise me, one day...You'll remember me.

I replay that night in my mind over and over.
Like a record that is constantly on replay.
Should I have stayed and fought for what I believed.
Or walk away, as I did, and hope...You'll remember me.

I try to find the good and positive in everyday.
But find myself skeptical from time to time.
Wondering if you've thought of me.
Wondering if maybe today is the day...You'll remember me.

My eyes were once shut and blinded from what I had.
Until the night I lost it all to my foolishness, and what I thought was pride.
Looking back I see what I took for granted, and how badly I acted.
Oh but please forgive me and hopefully one day...You'll remember me.

For now I'll lay here thinking, dreaming, and hoping.
Upon everything that went away.
